Alex Muir is a technical director, carpenter, and the occasional scenic designer, whose passion lies in creative problem solving and fabrication. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Alex is an alum from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Technical Direction and a minor in Themed Entertainment. She has been working in theatre and live entertainment since high school but she has always loved building things since she was a kid. Since starting her career, she has built a strong foundation in both creative design and technical execution.

 

At USC, Alex has proudly served as the president of the USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology) student chapter for two consecutive years, leading a community of emerging designers and technicians. Outside of the shop, you can find her getting way too excited about Halloween all year round, hiking, building a new Lego set, or hunting down the nearest photo booth with her friends.
